Real Estate Closings

Helping Our Clients Understand the Closing Process
Every real estate closing presents parties with interdependent legal rights and obligations, and every loan closing involves the commitment to important loan documentation containing significant and varied financing terms. Only a seasoned and experienced lawyer can be ready to address all the varied legal questions and issues that arise in the closing. At our firm, an attorney conducts each and every closing from start to finish, not a paralegal or loan officer.

Before sitting down at the closing a lot of work occurs “behind the scenes” to bring everything together. Our staff works hard to get you to the closing table. This process includes searching and reviewing title to ensure your ownership is unencumbered (no prior liens or claims). We also coordinate between the various parties involved – realtors, brokers, lenders, sellers, and various service providers. We gather the appropriate information, prepare the needed documentation, and do our best to ensure a smooth, accurate, and successful transaction.

We provide more than just a notary. South Carolina law requires that an attorney preside over real estate closings.  This law also lets YOU choose your own attorney, not the realtor, nor the lender. Be sure you pick one that will go the extra mile to protect you and your new investment. Contact us or notify your lender that you want Upstate Law Group, LLC to handle your real estate closing!
